Dave Watts (D.Wattsriot) heeft een indrukwekkende staat van 25 jaren dienst als zanger bij Fun’da’mental, co-curator voor Clandestinofestival (Zweden) en radiopresentator. Brusselaar Lowdjo is hier een graag gehoorde gast die pretentieloos wilde spontaneïteit aan diepgravende muzikale eruditie paart. 19:00 > 23:00 Buiten **CONCERT : CONJUNTO PAPA UPA (VE)** Een psychedelisch tripje met een voodoopriester als piloot in een jaren ’70 ruimtetuig dat je van het chaotische Venezolaanse urbane strand Camori Beach naar de grens tussen Angola en Congo brengt. Dick Dale is steward aan boord. Door krakende luidsprekertjes boort een Farfisa-orgeltje zich in je oor. Dit vijfkoppige project van Venezolaan Alex Figueira (van Fumaça Preta) combineert surf met funk en jaren ’70 Afro-Caraïbische muziek. Het geheel smaakt naar aguardiente en klinkt heerlijk fris en nostalgisch tegelijk. Duizelingwekkende tropische psychedelia!
