Naar aanleiding van een partnerschap tussen de vzw’s Jeunesse et Arts Plastiques en Recyclart, werd tijdens de herfst een oproep tot kandidaatstelling gedaan aan curatoren, opkomende galerieën of kunstenaarscollectieven om de ruimtes van het station Brussel-Congres te animeren met een selectie van kunstwerken en een tentoonstellingsproject op poten te zetten in resonantie met het modernistische architecturaal erfgoed van het station.
Na ontvangst van veel interessante dossiers en beraadslaging door de jury, is de keuze uiteindelijk gevallen op het project Performance Electrics GmbH" met als curator het collectief AGENCY AGENCY

About AGENCY AGENCY
AGENCY AGENCY is an art production agency, an artwork, a collective, a
platform, a think tank inside the future, a party, an artists' placement group, a residency and laboratory for alternative models of artistic production. About Performance Electrics
Founded in 2012 by artist Pablo Wendel, Performance Electrics produces electricity through art, which is then fed into the national grid. The works manifest in temporary actions in public spaces, installations and long-term public art projects. Wendel graduated from the MA Sculpture department at the Royal College of Art, London in 2010. His work deals directly with the immediate environment and is made up of self-defined experiments, which identify boundaries and consequently transgress them.

About the Residency
Artist collective and platform AGENCY AGENCY will take over Bruxelles Congrès Station with an artist residency programme. For five weeks, German artist Pablo Wendel will occupy the space with his project Performance Electrics, the first subversive business venture to
produce and distribute electricity through the national grid with art. Alongside this, AGENCY AGENCY will set up a temporary base in the station and host a series of events including lectures, workshops and performances.
