Ceux et celles qui nous suivent au fil des ans se rappelent peut-être du Greetings from London de CAN en 2017. Mais Londres, surtout si proche de Bruxelles, est une de ces villes où tout le monde veut y retourner, tellement elle change et se renouvelle. Cette fois, nous avons l’honneur d’y retourner en compagnie d’Amin Taha, fondateur du bureau d’architectes [GROUPWORK.](/admin/evenements/1553/groupwork.uk.com) Le bureau a défrayé la chronique – bien au-delà de la stricte presse d’architecture – avec leur projet 15 Clerkenwell Close, qu’on trouve – en toute subjectivité – assez génial, menacé de démolition tellement certains voisins n’en voulaient pas, à tel point pour Amin Taha d’en venir à être désigné alors « London most polemical architect ». Au-delà de ce strict projet, bien plus riche et intéressant que ce strict combat judiciaire passionnel, Amin Taha et son équipe proposent une architecture soignée et affirmée, dans une relation forte entre existant et réinterpréation contemporaine, aux lectures plus complexes qu’elles ne peuvent paraitre au premier coup d’oeil. Leurs projets embrassent toutes sortes de tailles et programmes, et font l’objet de nominations et prix prestigieux, notamment pour le RIBA’s Stirling Prize et les EU Mies Award 2019.
